The TL-WA855RE operates exclusively on the 2.4 GHz frequency band, adhering to the IEEE 802.11n, IEEE 802.11g, and IEEE 802.11b wireless standards.

Its primary function is to deliver a maximum theoretical Signal Rate of up to 300Mbps (dynamic) on the 11n standard, which is sufficient for common online activities like HD video streaming, music playback, and online gaming without significant buffering.

Antenna and Performance

The TL-WA855RE has two external antennas, a key design choice that enhances the device’s signal quality. These external antennas, coupled with MIMO Technology (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output), work to dramatically increase wireless speeds and overall network stability.

Management and Smart Features

The range extender incorporates an Intelligent LED Indicator, a smart feature that uses a color-coded light (solid blue for a good connection, red for being too far away) to help users find the perfect location for optimal Wi-Fi coverage.
